SATUS is wonderful organization where you are presented with lots of opportunities. Learning about the startup world, critical thinking and entrepreneurship; Isn't that just awesome? Each member is unique and has their field of expertise, but we're all connected by entrepreneurship. All these likeminded people are the reason I loved the biweekly meetings so much. I truly believe that SATUS is one of the best organizations to use your creativity and to improve your soft skills. Next to all the lessons I took professionally, I met wonderful people and made friends for life. I think joining SATUS was one of the best decisions I ever made!
Leuven, and Belgium as a whole, is a unique environment in which innovation, sustainability and societal responsability thrive. Before SATUS, STEM-students and medical students as myself had only few possibilities to encompass these values during their acedemic careers. SATUS creates a stimulating environment in which students are surrounded by peers who share the same professional aspirations and values. It has taught me to engage in ambitious innovative projects that I never knew existed. But above all, it gave me a lasting network of like-minded individuals who were eager to teach me so many wonderful things in their field of expertise. A network of people I could have found nowhere else.
